Wordle is good for this. I used it recently for the same purpose.
One feature of Wordle when used like this is that the last post has the most significant influence over the outcome and each earlier post has progressively less and less effect on the overall product.
So if it's run so that one can have a quick look at what's been going on in the blog, it's really a quick look at what's been happening lately.
